The Original Story
Archimedes reportedly exclaimed "Eureka!" when he discovered a method to determine the volume of an irregular object. The story goes that this happened while he was taking a bath. Observing the water level rise as he entered, he realized that the volume of water displaced equaled the volume of his submerged body. This insight led him to formulate the principle of buoyancy, now known as Archimedes' Principle.
